Muncie Obedience Training Club

A well-trained dog is a happy, well-adjusted member of the family

What about socialization?

Puppy/Dog Socialization is defined as

The process of learning to behave in a way that is acceptable to society
  • Provide your puppy/dog exposure that is needed to become a confident puppy/dog.
  • Take your puppy/dog to different locations, take a walk, visit a dog friendly store, visit family/friends (be careful, if they own other dogs).
  • Ask other people to approach and pet your puppy/dog, i.e. other family members and your neighbors. Most vets will let you bring your puppy/dog to be greeted by a few of the employees, just be sure to call and get permission first.
  • We do not allow puppies/dogs to play with each other as this can cause anxiety and fear aggression in some.
