Muncie Obedience Training Club

About us:

Since its inception in 1946, the Muncie Obedience Training Club (MOTC) has promoted responsible dog ownership through dog training, good sportsmanship, and forming a bond with our dogs. The club endeavors to make dog training rewarding and fun for the both the dog and the handler. All breeds and mixed breeds are welcome in MOTC classes.

We offer several different levels of classes within the two main categories of companion and competition classes.

  • American Kennel Club

MOTC is one of nearly 5,000 dog clubs in the United States that hold affiliated AKC sanctioned events (there are only four in the state of Indiana). Our club holds three weekends of AKC obedience, rally and scent work trials and Fast CAT tests per year.

  • Delaware County 4-H

MOTC allows the local 4-H dog obedience members to practice in our air-conditioned facility. MOTC continuously sponsors our local 4-H club. 4-H members interested in joining can sign up in January of each year.
