Frequent Asked Questions . . .
- All Classes are taught by MOTC member volunteers.
- Family members are welcome; junior handlers must have a parent present.
- Children accompanied by an adult are welcome as long as they do not disturb the class.
- Come a few minutes early to allow your dog to eliminate before class. We have a designated potty area north of the building.
- Female dogs in season are not permitted in class.
- A buckle or martingale collar
- 4 to 6 foot leash (Non-retractable)
- Several small, soft very special treats that are used only for class
- Container for treat that is easy to access (fanny pack, nail apron, treat pouch, etc.)
- MOTC has designated potty area north of the building
- Clean up after your dog in potty area and in building
- MOTC has bags available and cleaning supplies
- MOTC will honor a one time $10.00 discount for any adopted rescue dog
- You must bring adoption papers to receive this discount
- Training treats should be a high value treat (something your dog really loves)
- Something your dog only gets during training
- Treat should be soft to chew and easily accessable to trainer from a fanny pack or bait bag
- If your dog is not treat motivated, please speak to your trainer for ideas
- Arrive a few minutes early to take your dog to the potty area
- Don’t feed your dog prior to coming
- Make sure you know what to bring
- Work with your dog during the week prior to class
